Many women dream of having bigger breasts to enhance their beauty and attract more people. If you wish to improve the shape and size of your breasts, you can do so by undergoing a breast augmentation procedure.
Breast augmentation is a surgical procedure where the surgeon implants saline or silicone material under your chest muscle or breast tissue to increase your breasts’ size and define their shape. Not only can implants make your breasts bigger, but they can change their shape too. That is important to a lot of women. Not all breast implant procedures are the same. Depending on your breast enhancement requirements and current physical health, the surgeon must decide where to insert the breast implants.
The three possible ways to insert breast implants are as follows:
Under the Breast
Through Under the Arm
The Ring Around the Nipple (Areola)
In most breast implant procedures, the surgeon makes an incision under the breast and enters the opening to insert the implant. It will leave a little bit of visible scarring under the breast, especially for younger women who have not given birth yet.
Alternatively, the surgeon can make an incision under your arm and insert the implants through it if you wish to avoid scarring on your breasts. An endoscope tool is placed inside the opening to make the implantation easier and more precise. But you can still expect scarring under your arm from this procedure.
The dark ring around your nipple is called the areola. In rare cases, the surgeon will cut this area to insert your breast implants. However, it is not recommended for new mothers because it can cause a numb feeling around the nipples and complicate the act of breastfeeding newborns.
Many women believe that silicone implants look and feel the most natural when compared to saline implants. Silicone implants can also last anywhere from 20 to 40 years. That is why silicone implants have dominated the breast augmentation market for quite some time now.
As for saline implants, they feel firmer and only last about 10 to 20 years. But they are more affordable, adjustable, and require a smaller incision. Plus, if the implant were to rupture, your body would absorb the saline solution because it is only sterile salt water.
